— THE PROCEDURE
Building bone where it used to be.
When a tooth is missing for years, the jawbone in that area shrinks — which can make implant placement impossible or unstable. A bone graft adds volume back. We place biocompatible bone material at the site, cover it with a protective membrane, and let your body integrate it over several months.
Modern grafting materials and techniques make this a routine, well-tolerated procedure. Most patients are surprised by how mild the recovery is — typically a long weekend of taking it easy.
- Allows implants where bone has been lost
- Biocompatible materials safely integrated
- Performed under local anesthesia or IV sedation
- Usually a long-weekend recovery
