— WHO IS THIS FOR?

Is PRGF right for you?

PRGF is an optional add-on we may recommend when supporting healing matters most. It is often considered when:

  • You are having a tooth extraction and want to support socket healing
  • You are receiving dental implants and want to support integration with the bone
  • You are having a bone graft or sinus lift and want to aid the regeneration process
  • You are undergoing gum or periodontal surgery and want to support soft-tissue healing
  • You heal slowly, or want to give your body every advantage after surgery
  • You prefer a fully natural, biocompatible material taken from your own body

— THE PROCEDURE

From your blood to your healing

PRGF starts with a small blood draw, just like a routine blood test, taken at your appointment. The sample is processed in our office to separate and concentrate the plasma that is rich in growth factors and fibrin. Because it comes entirely from you, there is no donor material and no risk of rejection.

This concentrated plasma is then applied directly to the surgical site: placed in an extraction socket, combined with graft material, or used as a protective fibrin membrane over the area. The growth factors it contains are involved in the body’s natural healing, supporting new blood vessel formation, cell repair and tissue regeneration. Because Endoret contains no white blood cells (leukocytes), it is also associated with less inflammation.

  • Small blood draw, processed in-office
  • 100% from your own body, no donor or synthetic material
  • Applied to the socket, graft, or surgical site
  • An adjunct to your main procedure, not a separate surgery

— TYPES & OPTIONS

Where PRGF makes a difference

PRGF is versatile and can support healing across several oral surgery procedures. Here is where we use it most:

After tooth extraction

Placed in the socket to support healing and help reduce the risk of a painful dry socket.

With dental implants

Applied at the implant site to support the bone integration process.

In bone grafts and sinus lifts

Combined with graft material to aid regeneration and make the graft easier to handle.

In gum and periodontal surgery

Used to support soft-tissue healing and may reduce post-operative swelling and discomfort.

— BENEFITS

Why we offer PRGF

PRGF is a simple way to give your body's own healing a head start after oral surgery. Here is what it brings:

Completely your own

Because PRGF is made from your own blood, it is biocompatible with no risk of rejection or disease transmission.

Designed to support healing

The concentrated growth factors are involved in the body's natural repair: blood-vessel formation, cell migration and tissue regeneration.

A more comfortable recovery

With no leukocytes in its composition, PRGF is associated with reduced inflammation, and many patients report less swelling and discomfort.

Better extraction-site healing

Used in sockets, it may help protect the area and reduce the risk of a painful dry socket.

— PRICING & INSURANCE

PRGF cost in Barrie

Because PRGF is an optional add-on prepared from your own blood, there is an additional fee on top of your main procedure. The exact cost depends on the treatment it is paired with and how much plasma is needed. Adental Office provides a clear written estimate at your consultation.

Insurance coverage

PRGF is generally considered an elective adjunct, so most insurance plans do not cover it separately. We confirm what is covered for your main procedure and explain any out-of-pocket cost before treatment begins.
