ORAL SURGERY

Make room for implants in the upper jaw.

— THE PROCEDURE

Microsurgery for the upper-back jaw.

The maxillary sinuses sit just above your upper back teeth. When those teeth have been missing for years, the bone shrinks and the sinus floor drops — leaving little room for an implant. A sinus lift carefully elevates the sinus membrane and packs bone graft underneath.

It sounds dramatic. In practice, it’s a precise, well-tolerated procedure under local anesthesia or sedation. We use a 3D CT scan and surgical guides to keep everything millimeter-accurate.

  • 3D CT planning for millimeter accuracy
  • Lateral or crestal approach — least-invasive option chosen
  • Performed under local anesthesia or IV sedation
  • Implants placed 4–6 months later

— GOOD TO KNOW

Frequently asked questions

It's more delicate than dramatic. The membrane being lifted is thin but resilient. Most patients are surprised at how routine the recovery is — closer to a wisdom tooth extraction than to anything 'sinus surgery' might evoke.
