— THE PROCEDURE
Light dreamy haze, no memory of the dental work.
About an hour before your visit, you take a prescribed tablet at home. By the time you walk in, you’re calm, drowsy, and unworried. You stay awake and can respond to instructions, but most patients have only fragmented memories of the procedure afterwards.
Oral sedation is ideal for moderate dental anxiety, longer multi-step appointments, or patients who don’t tolerate nitrous well. You’ll need a friend or family member to drive you home.
- Take one tablet at home — you arrive already calm
- Stay awake but deeply relaxed throughout
- Most patients don't remember the procedure
- Safe for adults — driver required for going home
